Today I got to experience my first Pride. It was here in my hometown, which, isn’t a big town at all. It was a small amount of people but a lot of love. Everyone was so excited to celebrate life and acceptance with other people that understood the struggle.
We received some information about the next big hurdle that we have to understand as a community; as far as discrimination in the work place and educational system. We also got to enjoy some information about transgenders and proper pronouns.
After Pride, we had a birthday party to attend for our friend Ryan. We went to go play putt putt golf and then went to a local pizza joint here in town called Upper Crust. It was super delicious, we just split a dessert pizza pie and called it a night.
Shannon and I went to eat at a place we felt both of our days would have enjoyed. It’s a newer catfish place called Murdock’s — it was actually really nice. After that we picked up some flowers and our Dad’s favorite candy bars. Shannon got her Dad a Snickers and my Dad would have enjoyed a Reese’s. We bought them some flowers and went to visit them. All and all it was a good day, emotionally draining but good.
I have decided to start a blog for my photography. I’m going to try and do at least one post a week — we shall see how long that will last. I really enjoyed this hobby when I had it last, over time I just kinda got lazy. I’m going to get back into the hobby though and hopefully stay with it this time. I’m going to start by posting some of my photos from last year.
